Nipple and Areola Surgery

Nipple and areola surgery is a cosmetic surgical procedure designed to correct large nipples or areolas.  It can also be used to correct inverted nipples.  Nipple and areola surgery can be performed as a stand-alone procedure or in combination with a breast lift or breast reduction.  Dr. Zaluzec will create a custom surgical plan to achieve your goals. 

• Nipple surgery can generally be done under local anesthesia with excellent patient satisfaction and comfort. This includes surgery for inverted nipples as well as nipple and areola reduction.
• Nipple and areola surgery can often be performed with other procedures under general anesthesia.

• Recovery from nipple and areola surgery is generally well tolerated. Patients will be prescribed appropriate pain medications to limit discomfort.
• Depending on your procedure, you may have to wear a special guard over your nipples to protect them while they heal.
