Motherhood is a beautiful and rewarding experience, the female body is capable of extraordinary feats. Occasionally, our bodies do not fully recover after pregnancy and childbirth. As a mother herself, Dr. Zaluzec understands the changes that occur with pregnancy and breastfeeding. She had the blessing of carrying a twin pregnancy to term and breastfed her children for over a year. Her goal is to help women feel comfortable in their bodies again with a customized treatment plan.

  • A "mommy makeover" refers to a customized combination of body contouring procedures performed together to improve the physical changes that can linger long after pregnancy.  The treatment plan may involve multiple procedures, usually performed in one or two surgical appointments.  The mommy makeover has no set components; each procedure is custom-tailored to fit the individual patient's unique needs.  The surgical approach generally starts with a breast and abdomen contouring procedure, then adding additional elements such as liposuction, buttock lift or labiaplasty as needed.  A consultation will determine what is right for you and your goals.
  • Despite the name, you don't have to be a new mom, or a mom at all, to be eligible for a mommy makeover.  The changes in the body that come with pregnancy aren't exclusive to pregnancy and can come with hormone imbalances, age, lifestyle, or even genetics.
  • You should be in good overall health, a non-smoker, at a healthy weight, and are not planning more children in the future.

A mommy makeover is a customized set of procedures, therefore, the recovery times will vary. Generally, you can expect a few weeks off of work as you heal. You may also need to have extra help at home to help with small children, and should avoid strenuous activities for four to six weeks.
