Breast augmentation surgery is one of the most frequently performed cosmetic surgery procedures in the United States and one of Dr. Zaluzec’s most sought-after services. Breast augmentation involves using breast implants to change the size and shape of your breasts.

Patients may choose breast augmentation for many reasons, both medical and aesthetic. These include balancing breast size, compensating for changes in breast size and shape due to weight loss, pregnancy, surgery, or correcting congenital breast differences. Dr. Zaluzec employs an individually tailored approach to every breast augmentation patient. She combines exact measurements, with an advanced Vectra 3D camera to further consult with you and determine your desired look. Dr. Zaluzec will then use advanced surgical techniques to create an exquisitely sculpted result.

There are several different types of implants, Dr. Zaluzec will take time to discuss the pros and cons of each type of implant offered

  • Saline
  • Silicone
  • Form-stable breast implants: These implants are often called gummy bear breast implants
  • Round
  • Smooth
  • Textured
  • Breast implants can be placed in several different locations: sub pectoral (under the pectoralis muscle), sub - glandular (under the breast tissue), or dual - plane (a combination of under the muscle and breast tissue).
  • During your consultation, you will discuss these options to determine the best outcome for your surgery based on your unique anatomy and wishes.
  • Dr. Zaluzec and her team will be available to you throughout your recovery. You can expect to be seen one to three days after surgery to ensure your recovery is both smooth and successful.
  • Full results are expected about six to twelve weeks after surgery. This timing allows for the implants to settle into place and post-operative swelling to resolve.
  • In the early stages of recovery, you will have pain medication to help limit discomfort, and you will wear a surgical bra to protect your breast tissue and new implants.
  • Dr. Zaluzec will discuss specific activity limitations with you during your consultation and recovery process. Generally, patients need to avoid strenuous exercises and lifting weights for four to six weeks.
